It is the year 2007 and Charles McDonald has decided to take a Gap year. I am sailing from Cape Town to St. Helena, then to Ascension, then Fernando, then Fortaleza and ending up in Trinindad in the Caribbean. I will then go to the North section of the Caribbean and try and find work for about 6 months. And then to England in September.
A relaxing day at the cottage, when I typed up most of what you are reading, from my diary! We did go to the museum though and the island has quite a history.

Aargh - I'd forgotten you'd taken up smoking. Charles you dumbass. Don't do it mate! I did for 20 years, and 19 of those were spent trying to quit. Just say no - especially since you abstained for 10 days on the trip from Cape Town.
