We arrived at Ascension today! And so ends part 3 of the journey. Went ashore and immigrated. Nice to be relatively stable, can do some needed laundry and so forth. The island is very dramatic! The landscape takes your breath away. An 800m high volcano slopes down to the beaches. Extremely barren. The contrast between the white sand and brown mountain is vivid. 14:20 S07°55.328 W014°24.884

About Me

- It is the year 2007 and Charles McDonald has decided to take a Gap year. I am sailing from Cape Town to St. Helena, then to Ascension, then Fernando, then Fortaleza and ending up in Trinindad in the Caribbean. I will then go to the North section of the Caribbean and try and find work for about 6 months. And then to England in September.
