It is the year 2007 and Charles McDonald has decided to take a Gap year. I am sailing from Cape Town to St. Helena, then to Ascension, then Fernando, then Fortaleza and ending up in Trinindad in the Caribbean. I will then go to the North section of the Caribbean and try and find work for about 6 months. And then to England in September.

What Now?

So I suppose the ultimate question is what now for the young lad? Well to be honest, right now he isn't sure.

I was put onto a woman yesterday who has a boat she wants to sail from Cuba to Antigua and then possibly to the Med. I have emailed her and am waiting a reply. If she decides to take me on she will fly me up to Cuba and so on so I will no longer be paying for my trips, we will see.

We arrived on Sunday, it is Tuesday. Have spent the last couple of days landing and washing etc. Have just checked my email, mid typing this and I have a reply so I could be off to Cuba tomorrow, I just have to book a flight, she will reimburse me later. YAY! I'm off. I must go to organise this.

Hey man, I read through your entire blog, it was highly enjoyable and a great read!! It sounds like you have had an absolutely awesome and surreal experience! It's so cool to hear about all the things you've done and accomplished... I was sailing myself in the British Virgins in Carribean in December!! I hope you enjoy the whole lot, and keep us updated!
